First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park: About 20 miles from Great Falls, this state park provides an insight into the history of the Plains Indians who hunted buffalo in the area. Hiking to the top of the buffalo jump allows visitors to learn about historic hunting practises.
Ryan Dam: Just a few miles from the airport, this dam provides vistas of the Missouri River as well as the opportunity to observe the Great Falls of the Missouri, a series of five waterfalls that hampered Lewis and Clark's journey.
